Dr. Son holds both undergraduate and Ph.D. degrees in Math Faculty (Theory of Functions) from the State University of Odessa where he graduated first in his class. He has extensive history in the development of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and image recognition technologies. Prior to founding Vigilant, Dr. Son founded the Dolsoft Co. Ltd. over 15 years ago; he served as Leader of Science, designing and leading development of GIS and defect detection systems. At Vigilant Solutions, Dr. Son serves as Chief Scientists and leads development of highly accurate and efficient recognition technologies for law enforcement forces and private sector.
2016-2018: Developed fast and reliable ballistic analysis technology, BallisticSearch.
2010-2017: Led development of face recognition technology FaceSearch.
2005 -2017: Developed successful license plate recognition technology - CarDetector and complete solution for LPR.

2004: developed abnormal method of defect detection via image of wafer – fast and effective. This technology was acquired by KLA -Tencor.
2003: Developed method defect detection, defect classification on semiconductor industry.
Developed GIS System - software “DolGIS”.
Developed a method of character recognition - software “DolVector” .

1990-1994: Developed a method of conversion raster image to vector form.
1991: Developed a method of data compression – software “Image-Transform”.
1990: Developed theory of optimization for cutting materials (based in own theory potential)
My doctoral thesis was a method of approximation in Hp spaces with the best speed and applied for all parameters of p (0< p <= 1), expanding the use of this class of method for many another spaces. Opened series of features of functions from spaces Hp in borders.
